Information

2023 CLAAS ROLLANT 620 Series 620 RF

Density comes naturally.

The CLAAS name stands for professional equipment, from the simple ROLLANT to the feature-rich VARIANT. Proven in the toughest conditions world-wide all CLAAS round balers form dense bales, with unparalleled throughput and industry exclusive reliable bale starting.

Powerful and reliable.

Simplicity equals years of reliability with the ROLLANT 620. With the ROTO FEED non-cutting rotor, the ROLLANT has an appetite for large, bulky windrows. Particularly suited for tough and dirty conditions like straw, corn stalks, or peanut straw but also ready to tackle dry hay and wet baleage the ROLLANT 620 is the reliable machine for any operation.

Big appetite.

Large, bulky windrows are fed quickly into the ROLLANT by the pickup with the standard tine wind-guard. This ensures the full 83 inches of the pickup is used to its full capacity before handing off to the ROTO FEED rotor. The rotor blades of the feed rotor are arranged in dynamic spirals for uniform intake and efficient output with maximum performance. The arrangement is gentle and produces top-quality forage, even with delicate crops like alfalfa.

Maintenance friendly.

To ensure a long service life the ROLLANT 620 is standard equipped with an automatic chain lubrication system. All drive chains receive oil through strategically placed brushes, even on the pick-up. Lubrication interval is not tied to tailgate cycles, so chains receive the optimum lubrication even in light crops.

Tie it up.

Whether twine or net, you'll be sure to get everything right with the ROLLANT 620. The net-wrapping system (shown) works reliably and saves time, wrapping is fully automatic and takes only a few seconds. An extra roll of net can be stored on a ramp that is swung forward for roll changes that don't require lifting a full roll into position.

Time saving.

After opening the tailgate and dropping the bale, a bale ramp makes sure the bale has cleared before the tailgate is closed. A position sensor indicates in the cab to the operator when the tailgate can be closed and baling resumed. This prevents potential damage to the machine but also saves time and wear on the tractor that is typical when reversing to drop a completed bale. With the ramp, reversing is not required and is a CLAAS exclusive in the fixed chamber market.
