2021 Grimme GL Series 860

The 8-row trailed potato planter GRIMME GL 860 for a high acreage performance. The GRIMME professional planting element is the right choice for a very precise and even planting distance. Different setting options of the machine together with good calibrated seed enable a high planting speed. Using a combination of under-root fertilisation, ridge shaping , as well as the application of liquid seed dressing and furrow treatment agent, the efficiency can be significantly increased. The machine design with large covering discs in front of running wheels enables easy pulling of the machine, pre-shapes the ridge and avoids soil compaction of loose soil by the running wheels. The weight of the machine is carried on up to 8 wheels (option) to reduce the ground compaction.

Barrel system for liquid tuber dressing and furrow treatment as well as a fertilizer spreader for under-root fertilisation.

For an improved water absorption on light soils, cage rollers can be used in combination with spring-loaded ridging bodies.

To distribute the weight of the potato planter with full hopper to as many wheels as possible, the machine can be equipped with a chassis of 8 wheels.

With the deep hopper it is possible to fill the machine directly from the trailer.

Long drawbar allows close turning manoeuvres.

An end-tow kit is available for a safe transport on the road.
