2021 Grimme BF Series 600

The first step of the separation system is to set up the beds. Two basic models are available for the various soil conditions. The large BF plough body for use especially on medium to heavy soils with big stones and large amount on clods. The BFL plough body with long side mouldboards is recommended for light soils to keep the loose soil in the bed, preventing it from falling back into the furrow. It is possible to combine both bodies with bed loosening tines to work in non-prepared soils.

The convex mouldboards of the GRIMME bed formers (BF) are particularly suitable for heavy soils as well as for soils with high content of clods and stones.

The BFL body with long mouldboard is recommended for track width up to 180 cm. BFL body with long mouldboard shapes "kit-kat" (trapezoidal) beds with a small furrow.

The hydraulic stone protection is developed with a decreasing release force is case of large stones, which may lift the plough bodies. Thus protecting all machinery components and reducing potential downtimes.

The mechanical stone protection of the plough body, using shear pins, ensures a longer service life.

• Two different bed former bodies for diverse soil conditions

• Large main frame, for a simple adaptation to the required bed-width of 1.50 m to 2.00 m

• Shaping of two beds with one field crossing via lane marker or parallel drive system

• Additional subsoiler legs (option) in front of the bed shaper bodies to create loose soil in the furrow also in heavy soils

• Increased track guidance especially at slopes via guiding slides (option)

• Mechanical shearbolts or auto-reset stone protection for big stones or other foreign bodies in the ground

• Extra plates (option) for soils with a high content of impurities for a better mixing in the soil

• Additional loosening tines with shearbolt protection or auto-reset spring for increased ground loosening under the following bed enable a better root growing in the ground
