The so-called "SG units" for soil cleaning and pre-grading can be integrated as pre-assembled module into an already existing processing line. To make the necessary adaption possible, the SG unit comes without cross conveyors and frames. This unit is equipped with PU spiral coils and an electro-hydraulic drive.

The separation and pre-grading unit (SG-unit) can be easily integrated into existing or planned plants.

The soft, wear-resistant polyurethane (PU) spiral rollers achieve lowest impact on the crop and an effective separating performance.In addition, jammed stones and entangled haulm are avoided.

Features may include:

• The SG unit is available in various dimensions and with different numbers of rollers, depending on the intended use.

• For maximum crop protection with the highest separation performance, GRIMME has perfected the soft PU spiral rollers over the years. The soft spiral rollers have a high self-cleaning effect to achieve an optimal cleaning result without obstructions even under difficult, sticky conditions.

• The rollers are driven directly and without loss of power by one hydraulic motor each. The speed of each pair of rollers can be adjusted independently of each other. Furthermore, the groups of rollers are adjustable in distance to achieve the best results with different crop sizes.

• The speed of the roller-sets can be infinitely adjusted for optimum and particularly gentle crop cleaning and pre-grading. The infinitely distance adjustment of the PU spiral rollers enables quick adjustment of the soil cleaning and pre-grading.

• The centrifugal cleaning system Turbo Clean offers the possibility to remove sticky soil from the rollers. Turbo Clean is ideal for sticky, adhesive soils. By use of an automatic timer it can be activated without the need for manual intervention.

• Easy integration into an existing or planned feeding line

• Quick adaption via infinitely distance adjustment of the PU-coils

• The centrifugal cleaning system, called Turbo Clean, whereby adhering soil is loosened from the PU spiral rollers at maximum speed, is standard.
