4-row, 7 t NonstopBunker, high separation performance, wheelsSelf-propelled harvesters demonstrate the perfect combination of performance, driving comfort and manoeuvrability. The resulting harvest reliability, even under the most difficult conditions, plays a decisive role in many cases. With the VARITRON 470, GRIMME offers a 4-row self-propelled harvester which can be equipped with an extensive range of separators. The VARITRON 470 achieves a high degree of manoeuvrability thanks to its wheeled chassis, which is fitted with large-volume tyres as standard and gives extreme soil protection in all conditions. The 7 ton bunker is used continuously for increased output thanks to the reversable bunker web. A large number of automatic features for the harvesting process, which can all be conveniently controlled from the premium cabin, ensure a maximum working and driving comfort.

Features may include:
HT 400- The HT 400 runs smooth and ensures clean topping. As an option, the haulm topper can be equipped with a haulm distributor in order to spread the potato haulm over the surface, which has already been harvested.
- For harvesting with reduced load on the front axle or for travelling on the road the haulm topper can be removed. The haulm topper can be easily attached and removed by means of a selectable quick-change frame and can be transported on a trolley.
- The automatic depth control is independently controlled in height on the left and right via 2skids, which are running on the ridge crown. In this way the haulm topper is guided exactly over the ridges. Haulm cutting and topping is perfect, as the haulm is not pressed into the furrow by front-mounted support wheels. Furthermore, additional soil compaction is avoided.
- For heavy soils there are 2-blade shares available. For medium and light soils 3-blade shares can be mounted alternatively. In order to prevent unnecessary soil adhesion in heavy conditions, highly wear-resistant plastic share blades are available as an option.
- For an increased operational safety, the intake is equipped as standard with an overload safety device for each individual share blade and the complete share frame.
- A centre share can be used when operating the harvester in beds or in enhanced harvesting process. In case of a highly concentrated amount of haulm, the crop flow can be significantly improved by dispensing with the centre disc coulters and using a centre share.
- When digging the ridges in-between the spray tracks only two of the four rows are taken into the machine. For the remaining two ridges the digging shares are hydraulically lifted. For an improved drivers comfort the automatic share lowering for digging is activated at the headland and at the end of the spray tracks.
